Apple is slightly surprising when shortly after the release of the new version of iPhone OS3.0, it releases a new beta version of iPhone OS 3.1, for now only for developers. Maybe Beta 1, Beta 2 and so on will be released one after the other, but Apple's beta test didn't come out and Apple is preparing the next version of the iPhone firmware so unusually soon. As usual, there are no release notes for the beta version, so we can only wait for user feedback on what actually changed. For now, there is talk of faster loading of applications, sharper images in poor lighting with the iPhone 3GS, faster sending of MMS or the copy&paste function in contacts. A new version of the SDK for developers was also released.
I'll just add that more information is available at http://www.iphone-3gs.cz/apple-uvolnil-pro-vyvojare-3-1-beta-firmware-a-sdk
so I'm a little embarrassed about such a speed.
I hope they will fix the degraded wifi signal there (and I have the same problem on 3G, I was fine in the 3G zone before and now it keeps switching => really annoying).
Copy&Paste in contacts? It's been a long time!
well, I'm curious how it will be with the launch of 3.1, maybe it won't be as exciting as with 3.0
OT: jablickar: the advice to reset the network settings obviously works. I have Push on for about 8-9 hours at a time when I'm at home, and I'd say 6 of those are on Wi-Fi, and I have to say that the battery life has increased significantly.
In my opinion, this only proves that 3.0 was a successful release, whose main goal was to compete with the Palm Pre release, and now it needs to be completed. :)
Lukas maci: how many months of waiting are successful for you?
I have the feeling that with OS 3.0, some games are quite choppy and therefore almost unplayable, but it wasn't choppy before, so I hope that this new FW could fix it. :P
Melebius: I'm not even waiting for him to finish it :-)
Please help. i uploaded new version 3 to iphone 3.1g. on itunes it wants me to register the device on dev. portal. so I sent a complaint (and purchase) to apple about being blocked in the developer program, but after 10 days I have no response - according to support, it's because it takes a long time to download the money.
is there a possibility to convert iphone back from developer mode?
thanks a lot for the answer
Apple, thanks a lot. It was successful even when the road was not easy. I have Windows 7 (probably not a problem) but they are 64 bit. So I tried to install 32-bit XP on a new partition and then it failed. And a note – the Fsboot command must start with a lowercase letter.
In the meantime, however, I received an ID from Apple to the developer portal, where I could register an iPhone to use firmware 3.1. but i am not able to find out the local 40 device id. It's supposed to be done in Xcode, but I only found it for MAC.
Do not see if there is also for Windows or other ways to find out the ID.
And even if I have it, will I be able to complete the entire procedure from Windows?
Thanks a lot for the advice if you are.
there is only S/N in iTunes. Thanks for the effort, but I decided not to risk any more trouble. I did a Jailbreak and I'll wait for the official 3.1 (I read speculation that maybe in Zari).
I look like I'm probably an exception here, but I think it's just a sign that Apple doesn't intend to rest on its laurels. And I hope none of you want that from him!
