Apple released new beta versions for iOS, watchOS and tvOS on Monday. This was the third developer beta release of the respective systems. It was clear that a third beta for the first major macOS update would appear within days, and last night it did. If you have a developer account, you can download the new macOS High Sierra 10.13.1 release from yesterday evening. If you have the account mentioned above, along with the most current beta profile, the update should appear in the Mac App Store.

The new version should mainly contain fixes for a number of problems that users often complain about. Whether it is the frequent crashes of the Safari browser, the incompatibility of the mail application with some accounts, or some graphic bugs that make life unpleasant for users. Many users are reporting a problem with iMessages in recent days, which are said to be delayed for several days. However, it is not yet clear whether Apple has fixed this as well.

In addition to fixes, the new beta should also bring small changes to system security and improve optimization. Also new is support for emojis based on the Unicode 10 set. These appeared in the last major iOS 11.1 beta update (as well as watchOS 4.1) and will finally be supported on Macs as well. Information about other important news will appear gradually.
