After a few weeks since the release of the final version of OS X Yosemite, Apple today released the first minor update OS X 10.10.1 through the Mac App Store. Traditionally, Apple recommends the update to all users who have the previous version installed. The update is 311 MB (on a 2010 MacBook Pro) and addresses the following issues:

  • Improves Wi-Fi.
  • Improves the reliability of connecting to the Microsoft Exchange server.
  • Improves the reliability of sending messages from Mail using certain email service providers.
  • Improves the reliability of connecting to remote computers with Back to My Mac.

In particular, some users complained about major problems with Wi-Fi after switching to OS X Yosemite, and it was precisely these errors that the latest update was supposed to address.
