Apple has not only prepared new hardware for this evening. Iron also inherently includes software, and so next to the new iPhone SE or smaller iPad Pro Apple has released updates for all of its operating systems. They received iOS, OS X, tvOS and watchOS.

The new updates are not surprising with anything fundamental, Apple has been testing them in public beta versions in recent weeks and even announced them in advance. For example, iOS 9.3 brings a whole range of interesting new features, and owners of the new Apple TV will also get a significant improvement in the user experience.

You can download all the mentioned updates – iOS 9.3, OS X 10.11.4, tvOS 9.2, watchOS 2.2 – to your iPhones, iPads, Macs, Watch and Apple TV.

iOS 9.3

There are really many changes in the new iOS 9.3. Already in January Apple he revealed, that he is planning in it very useful night mode, which is much kinder to the eyes and protects our health at the same time.

iPhone 6S and 6S Plus owners who can use the 3D Touch display will find several new shortcuts in system apps. In Notes, it is now possible to lock your notes using a password or Touch ID, and you can now connect more than one Apple Watch (with watchOS 9.3) to an iPhone with iOS 2.2.

iOS 9.3 also brings great news to education. Better management of Apple IDs, accounts and courses is coming, a new Classroom app to make work easier for teachers and students, and the ability to log in to multiple users on the iPad. This is only really available for schools so far.

Additionally, iOS 9.3 fixes an issue that could freeze the iPhone while on it set the date to 1970. Other fixes apply to iCloud and many other parts of the system.

TvOS 9.2

The second major update has arrived on the fourth-generation Apple TV and brings several new features. The two new text input methods are probably the most important: using dictation or via a Bluetooth keyboard.

At first, typing on the new Apple TV was quite limited. Only over time did Apple, for example, release a revived Remote application. Now comes another big simplification of the situation when entering passwords or searching for applications in the form of support for Bluetooth keyboards. Dictation is also very useful, but only works where Siri works.

For Apple, perhaps even more important - at least according to how it graduated in the keynote today - part of tvOS 9.2 is the ability to organize applications into groups, just as it is in iOS. The new version of tvOS also brings full support for iCloud Photo Library, including Live Photos.

OS X 10.11.4

Mac users will also encounter rather interesting changes when they install the new OS X 10.11.4. Following the example of iOS 9.3, it brings the ability to lock your notes and is finally compatible with Live Photos outside of the Photos application, specifically in Messages. Notes also have the option of importing data from Evernote into them.

But many users will most welcome a relatively minor fix in the new El Capitan update. This concerns the display of shortened t.co Twitter links, which could not be opened in Safari for a long time due to an error.

Watch 2.2

Probably the smallest changes to the operating system are waiting for Apple Watch owners. The biggest innovation is the ability to pair more than one watch with one iPhone, which was not possible until now.

They look new on the Watch as part of watchOS 2.2 Maps, otherwise the update focuses mainly on bug fixes and performance improvements.
