iOS 16.3 is finally available to the public after a long wait. Apple has just released the expected version of the operating system, which you can already install on your compatible Apple phone. In that case, just go to Settings > General > System Update. The new version brings with it a number of interesting changes and novelties, led by a major improvement in iCloud security. But if you want to take advantage of this news, we need to update all your Apple devices to iOS and iPadOS 16.3, macOS 13.2 Ventura and watchOS 9.3. Now, let's take a look at the news brought by iOS 16.3.
iOS 16.3 news
This update includes the following improvements and bug fixes:
- A new Unity wallpaper, created to honor Black history and culture for Black History Month
- Advanced iCloud Data Protection expands the total number of iCloud data categories protected by end-to-end encryption to 23 (including iCloud backups, notes, and photos) and protects all of that data even in the event of a data leak from the cloud
- Apple ID Security Keys allow users to strengthen their account security by requiring a physical security key as part of two-factor authentication to sign in on new devices
- 2nd generation HomePod support
- To activate the Emergency SOS call, it is now necessary to hold down the side button together with one of the volume buttons and then release them, so that emergency calls are not initiated unintentionally
- Fixed a bug in Freeform that caused some strokes drawn with the Apple Pencil or finger to not appear on shared boards
- Fixed an issue where the lock screen would sometimes display a black background instead of the wallpaper
- Fixed an issue where horizontal lines sometimes appeared momentarily when waking up the iPhone 14 Pro Max

Well, I hope that there will be more improvements with Siri, because lately Siri has started to feel more like a random action generator (not that my English is a hole in the world, but it has been working fine for me for a few years, but lately it has been behaving strangely )…
And of course: We can easily forget about the fact that after 10-15 years Siri could speak Czech...
Apple has been translating Siri into Czech for some time, the question is when they will be satisfied with it and send it out.
Is there a silly wallpaper highlight from iOS 16.3 in our parts?
I wouldn't say it better. This progressive activism aimed at and at users whose ancestors have absolutely nothing to do with slavery and imperialism makes my blood boil. Do they really have to stuff my phone with such crap that I didn't ask anyone for?
I would quite like the option when I have the ipad in the dock on an external monitor to be able to switch to the audio from the ipad. I don't understand why it doesn't work and I have to listen to the chatter in the monitor, when the ipad pro has fairly high-quality speakers that would be enough for me at work.
