A little while ago, Apple released the new iOS 12.1.3, which is intended for all users. This is an update that brings several bug fixes for iPhone, iPad and HomePod. You can update traditionally in Settings -> In general -> updates software. For iPhone X, the installation package is 300,6 MB in size.

The new firmware fixes errors that plague owners of the latest devices, such as the iPhone XR, XS, XS Max and iPad Pro (2018). For example, the update solves a problem related to an unstable connection to CarPlay. Among other things, Apple removed a bug in the Messages app where scrolling through sent photos in the Details section was not working correctly. However, these are mostly ailments that users only experienced sporadically. The full list of fixes can be found below.

One of the novelties that Apple did not specify in its update notes is the compatibility of the new Smart Battery Case with the iPhone X. Although the new rechargeable case with the battery is not directly intended for the mentioned model, according to user experience, the update to iOS 12.1.3 is one of the most reliable solutions to the original incompatibility.
