A little while ago, Apple released the new iOS 12.0.1, which is intended for all users. This is a patch update that removes several bugs that plagued iPhone and iPad owners. You can update traditionally in Settings -> In general -> updates software. For the iPhone XS Max, the installation package is 156,6 MB in size.

The new firmware brings fixes mainly for the iPhone XS and XS Max, which have faced specific problems since the start of sales. for example, the update solves a bug causing charging to not work when the phone was turned off. iOS 12.0.1 brings bug fixes and improvements to your iPhone or iPad. This update:

  • Fixes an issue that caused some iPhone XS to not start charging immediately when connected to a Lightning cable
  • Addresses an issue that could cause iPhone XS to connect to a 5GHz network instead of a 2,4GHz Wi-Fi network when reconnecting
  • Restores the original location of the ".?123" key on the iPad keyboard
  • Fixes an issue that caused subtitles to not appear in some video apps
  • Addresses an issue that could cause Bluetooth to be unavailable
