Apple released a minor update to its OS X Yosemite operating system. The latest version is called 10.10.2 and is available for download in the Mac App Store for all users of supported Macs.
OS X 10.10.2 traditionally improves the stability, compatibility and security of Macs and brings the following news:
- Addresses an issue that could cause Wi-Fi to disconnect.
- Addresses an issue that could cause web pages to load slowly.
- Fixes an issue that caused email content to be fetched from the server even when this preference was turned off in Mail.
- Improves audio and video synchronization when using Bluetooth headphones.
- Adds the ability to browse iCloud Drive in Time Machine.
- Improves speech performance in VoiceOver.
- Addresses an issue that caused characters in VoiceOver to echo when entering text on a web page.
- Addresses an issue that caused unexpected language switching in the input method.
- Improves Safari stability and security.
Apple also released today iOS 8.1.3 update for iPhones, iPads and iPod touch.
Has the moment come for an Update?
Hello,
I installed it and I'm currently having a lot of problems with wifi.
How can you write that it fixes problems with wifi, when after updating the wifi it lasts for a few seconds and keeps disconnecting.
Well, he mainly has Apple written on the update, which the applecarr copied.
I know, but what Apple is showing….I'm starting to regret switching to Apple.
Well, apparently the problems only affect a certain group of users. For example, I have a MBP mid 2014 and I don't have a disconnection problem. What I struggle with a bit is that my upload does not go over 10Mbps, which I have already reported on the bugreport from Apple and it is being resolved
Well, it only dropped once in the last 3 days, so I don't know.
Hi, it also caused me problems in the beginning, but after about 30-60 minutes it "steadied" somehow.
I've been having wifi issues ever since I upgraded to Yosemite (about 5 days after purchase =o)) So hopefully it will last.
I wish you strong nerves (there is nothing worse than when you buy a computer that cannot be connected to the network without a reduction other than via WiFi and it simply does not work... and you need to work)
UPDATE: so it's still falling for me too =o(
So I'll probably still wait, just a small question, has anyone tried to change the router to a newer one - do the problems persist?
Observations: Every OSX update fixes the wifi problem.
MB Pro 13″ Retina, MB Pro 2008 and everything runs fine. Before and after the update.
It was fine before, but after the update I'm furious. I have a macbook pro 2014
MBA Mid 2011 13" – Quite a problem with blurry fonts, yes, I can turn off LCD Font smoothing, but without it it also looks worse than on 10.10.1, anyway they didn't dig into the errors in JavaScript for Automation :(
At least the system has sped up, including Safari…
And the "hands free" function has stabilized a lot, I can now dial numbers from OSX again without it dialing the number, ringing and dropping with an error on the other side, while the other side calls me what's going on...
After the update, my system started switching between Wi-Fi sites in a place where I have several available at once. One always lasts for a while, then MBA disconnects for a while and switches to another... Which of course causes all remote connections and ssh etc. to crash/freeze. Apple is getting funny :-)
I don't see wifi after switching to Yosemite ok, after updates the program is ok –> the problem will definitely be with a group of users and it's very difficult to fix :( otherwise Yosemite still has a lot of bugs but maybe apple is Polish and is now focusing on the full functionality of the system like X OS so iOS….
Poladi instead of Poles btw.
Unfortunately, the WiFi keeps getting angry and after disconnecting it has big problems logging in to the default network or it doesn't find it at all... So I'm looking forward to the next update, kt. will fix wi-fi problems
Apple just confirms the words of its own advertisement: Yosemite - "Every bit as powerful as it looks"... And Yosemite looks really ugly...
Please help. After updating and then restarting. When the system goes to the login screen and I enter the password, it loads for about a minute and then doesn't write anything and throws a "crossed circle" mark. Thanks.
After the mac update, 800 new mails appeared on my iPhone, but in fact they were the same as before the mac update, and now after opening the mail on the mac, I found that there are only 3 mails and the whole history in the anus. Does anyone have a similar experience?
Well, I have another problem with IMAP. I have a newly installed iPhone 5S, iPad mini retina and the latest model MacBook Pro Retina 15″ and everything is updated, i.e. a clean installation everywhere, and now to the mail: If I send a new mail or reply to any mail from the MacBook, it will be sent to me in a moment into the drafts folder 3, 5, 9, 15, or maybe 27 versions of the same message. So after one working day, I have drafts of maybe 415 semi-reports in my inbox... No one is able to give advice. No one knows about web hosting, no one knows at Apple, no administrator through IT knows... Really good... This doesn't happen from an iPad or an iPhone. I reinstalled everything again and it didn't help. The settings according to the article from the February advisory (Automatically detect and maintain account settings) did not help. Does anyone suspect betrayal????
It can be seen as mail activity at the bottom left. I always see him writing, “I save 18 out of 18…etc.
Help!!!
Hi, I have newly installed 10.10.2. and 80 percent of the upper keyboard, sound control, etc. do not work for me. Can you advise me??
