After several beta versions intended for testing by developers, Apple released an update to the OS X Mountain Lion operating system with the designation 10.8.4. The update doesn't bring any major new features, it's more of a set of fixes and improvements. In particular, fixing Wi-Fi issues is more than welcome. Specifically, OS X 10.8.4 improves and fixes the following:
- Compatibility when connecting to some wide area networks.
- Compatibility with Microsoft Exchange in the calendar.
- An issue that prevented FaceTime with users of non-US phone numbers. The problem that caused iMessage to stop working should also disappear.
- An issue that could prevent planned hibernation after using Boot Camp.
- Voiceover compatibility with text in PDF documents.
- Safari 6.0.5.
The update can be downloaded from the Mac App Store in the Updates tab and requires a computer restart after installation.
Looks like version 10.8.4. already natively supports TRIM on all ssd drives, not just the ones that came from the factory. I have a Crucial M4 drive and after the update the TRIM support stayed on, unlike any previous update where I had to manually enable TRIM via the "Trim enabler" software.
Definitely does not support. It really just looks. You're not the only one who has it active, but if you applied the combo misto update from the app store, it's detected.
TRIM not working on my MacBook Pro Late 2011 after installing 10.8.4 Combo Update. I have an OCZ Vertex 2 256GB. Enabled with "Trim Enabler"
I have reset the security confirmations for an application not from the AppStore. Adium, VLC Player, Burn, etc. Does anyone have it?
the most embarrassing thing is that my time machine backups from October disappeared. yesterday it said that it could not connect to the backups and today after restarting timemachine started to back up, but it says the oldest backup: none!!!!!
so it's already started :) I had to turn off the backup. let it search for the backup disk again and turn on the backup. yesterday/today's backup started again and the original backups also appeared. phew…
