A month ago Apple Issued a new version of the 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display, which brought Force Touch, among other things. The 15-inch machine now also comes with a brand new trackpad. The price does not change, you can still buy it the cheapest for 61 crowns.
The new 15-inch Retina MacBook Pro also has faster flash storage, up to 80 percent faster graphics and, according to Apple, longer battery life. The apple store lists an extra hour on both models. This is to be achieved with lower battery consumption (95 Wh compared to last year's 99,5 Wh).
The basic variant will offer a 2,2 GHz quad-core i7 processor, 16 GB of operating memory and 265 GB of flash storage for 61 crowns. For fifteen thousand crowns, you also get a 990 GHz processor and double the flash memory. In addition to the Iris Pro graphics, there is also the powerful AMD Radeon R2,5 M9X.
Apple also introduced a cheaper variant of its iMac with a Retina 5K display. In addition to the original version for nearly 70 crowns, a weaker model with a 3,3GHz quad-core i5 processor, 8 GB of memory and a 1TB hard drive is now available for 63 crowns. At the same time, this model replaces the previous highest variant of the 990-inch iMac without a Retina display.

It was expected that the 15-inch model Apple did not come with a month ago as a smaller version due to the fact that Intel did not have Broadwell quad-core processors ready. These appeared in the dual core in the 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro, but Apple has now revealed that the XNUMX-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display does not have them. Therefore, Haswell processors and graphics linked to them still remain Iris Pro 5200, which means that the CPU and GPU performance of the base model does not increase. Apparently, Apple didn't want to wait any longer for Intel, which still hasn't introduced quad-core Broadwells, but wanted to have the entire line updated before the approaching WWDC and also supply Force Touch to the larger MacBook Pro model.
hmmm, Intel is probably "a little" behind schedule :-(
The question is who will buy this "intermediate model". If someone was waiting for a full-fledged update, they will probably have to wait, otherwise it is probably better to buy an older and cheaper model in sales. For the model with dedicated graphics, even that has changed fundamentally (nVidia vs AMD) and the performance will probably be really above the GT750M, but I don't know if I would like something with AMD. There is also the question of whether, if at all, the Broadwell version will still have dedicated AMD graphics, or nVidia again, which probably won't happen, because it would be a show of some chess with the design.
As I suspected, the just-released cheaper iMac 5K model does not have the optional M4X 295GB graphics card option. This can only be selected for the more expensive model :( Holt marketing no...
They made iMacs massively more expensive. I don't want to believe that basically the range models would pull that much. Weak 27″ classic by almost 10t. 21″ by 7, 5, 4 thousand. Incredibly. Even Mac mini by 10%. You can see that they have no problem with sales, so they are trying to see how far it can go.
This is a change of course. Thank CNB and its management :-).
I think the guys at CNB know a little more about why they do it, so don't be stupid and for textbooks!
But that's the problem, the boys from the CNB only have textbooks and statistics, they calculate with family income twice the average salary, etc., that's why the step didn't work and didn't start any economy.
9 million ordinary people are decided by people who have never known ordinary life and reality...not all theories work in practice.
The file is a question of what their goal was ;-). It is quite possible that we do not have common goals.
For example, if we sell more abroad than on the domestic market, it is advantageous to receive more crowns for sales. However, if we want to stimulate the market to buy from us, it doesn't work very well when everything becomes more expensive.
…. or products made in the Czech Republic will cost the same price as those from China, so you should buy an equally expensive Czech product... ;-).
This is not the CNB's fault, at least not that much. All Apple products have become more expensive throughout Europe and the reason is the weak euro against the dollar.
And CNB is also to blame for that ;-).
For a weak euro?
Apple recalculates it on the local menu, so in CR it is crowns. The Euro is not too weak, at least according to the koruna it's about the same +- the same, but the Dollar is up a lot.
I bought a dollar from 17-18 crowns. That's 25,-.
At one time, I bought euros for 22,- and now 28,-.
But the Euro only lasted a while ;-). I bought a dollar under 20 for about a year.
It’s a bit of a shame, I wanted to go to the new 15″ Pro as soon as they update them. This is such an intermediate step and the question is whether it is worth paying 80k for a laptop running on a range of processors that is not top, or will not be in a while.
Personally, I was more pleased with the increase in stamina than anything else. They should have waited, that's how you decide whether to go for the previous version, which will probably be cheaper in the aftersale.
