When Apple launched a discount battery replacement event at the beginning of the year, many users planned to take advantage of it as their iPhone batteries were gradually dying. However, as it quickly became clear, the company was not properly prepared for such an event, and in the case of some models there were huge waiting times, which exceeded even more than a month. Last night, Apple issued an official statement that it has managed to stabilize the supply of all types of batteries for all iPhones affected by the special promotion.

At the end of April, Apple sent out a message by internal mail stating that there had been a consolidation of the stock of batteries intended for the needs of the discounted service event. From the beginning of May, there should be enough batteries across models. It should no longer be the case that the user will have to wait several weeks for their discounted battery replacement. In all cases, the batteries should be available by the next day.

All official Apple stores, as well as all APRs and certified service centers received the message about the improvement in availability. Therefore, if you are interested in an exchange (and you are entitled to it according to your model), you should not wait more than 24 hours for an exchange. All official service centers can now order batteries directly from Apple with next day delivery.

If you're wondering if you should consider replacing your iPhone's battery, iOS 11.3 has introduced a new feature that tells you the level of battery life you have. Based on this information, you can then decide if the discounted battery replacement ($29/euro) is worth it. The promotion applies to iPhone 6 and newer models and will last until the end of this year.
