Apple introduced it last June, but only started selling it now, i.e. at the beginning of February. Apple Vision Pro is the first of its kind, not only in the company itself, but in the entire segment. The competition cannot match it either in terms of options or appearance or price. But how long will it be a really tuned device and how were iPhones or Apple Watch?

When Apple introduced the first iPhone, we already had a decent range of smartphones, but the company completely redefined these devices. Although we had certain smart watches here, and above all fitness bracelets, it wasn't until the Apple Watch showed which direction wearables should actually go. But in neither case were they particularly great devices, because they matured over time, which is also the case with the Vision Pro.

It still needs a lot of work

Of course, the first iPhone was already usable, as was the Apple Watch, as was the iPad or now the Vision Pro. But all these devices were far from perfect, either in terms of functions or software options. According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman the Apple employees working on the new headset believe that the ideal realization of their vision in the case of the Vision Pro will come only with its 4th generation. Reportedly, there is still a lot of work to be done before the device can be considered sophisticated enough for customers to use on a daily basis. But what should be improved?

Many first-time owners feel that the headset itself is too heavy and impractical for prolonged use. Criticisms also include poor battery life, a lack of apps, and a number of bugs in VisionOS. So it's going to take some hardware upgrades, a lot of software updates, and much better support from app developers and content creators to make the Vision platform the iPad replacement it really can be.

4th generation sure

The first iPhone was revolutionary, but very poorly equipped. Its 2 MPx camera couldn't even focus and the front one was completely missing, there was no 3G, there was no App Store. The device didn't even offer multitasking and perhaps copying and pasting text. Even though 3G connectivity and the App Store came with the iPhone 3G, there was still a lot missing. The first really well-equipped iPhone could be considered the iPhone 4, which actually founded iPhoneography, even though it only had a 5MP camera. Even iOS has come a long way and offered the most important things.

Likewise, the first Apple Watch was a very limited product. They were really slow, and even if they showed a direction, Apple was only able to use it with the following generations. In one year, he introduced two, i.e. Series 1 and Series 2, when the truly first tuned generation was the Apple Watch Series 3, which Apple sold for many years as an affordable variant of its smart watches.

So if we look at this situation realistically, it really takes Apple those four years to make its product widely usable and actually without major compromises. So the news that it will be the same for the Apple Vision Pro is not surprising.
