Apple Trade In works simply. Just pick up a listed phone, take it to an Apple Store, and get credit toward an iPhone. Is there a catch? Of course yes. We still cannot find an Apple Store in the Czech Republic. Until now, Apple only offered "buyback" for Samsung and Pixel phones, now LG has joined the offer. Samsung is Apple's direct and biggest competitor in the field of mobile phones. However, the company promises Samsung phone owners that they will most often switch to iPhones.

The portfolio of purchased Samsungs is also the largest and includes models from Galaxy S8 to S20, or Note 8 to Note 20. The contribution ranges from 70 to 250 dollars. In the case of Google, on the other hand, the biggest competitor in the field of software, these are Pixel phone models. Specifically, you will get $3 for the Pixel 70, and Apple will pay you $320 for the Pixel 5 model. However, a third has recently been added to these two brands. It is LG for one simple reason.

LG says goodbye

The company LG announced, that it will leave the mobile phone market in July. After years of failures, its mobile division is ending all efforts in smartphone development. Apple thus wants to motivate its customers to switch to it. To program list Apple Trade In thus added four devices, from the LG G8 bought for $70, through the V40 model bought for $65 to the V60 model, for which they will pay you $180, which you can then use to buy a new iPhone, but the amount can also be uploaded to gift card.

All devices obtained in this way are then recycled by Apple in the most environmentally friendly way possible. After all, this also applies to all other devices that it does not buy, but will take care of their disposal for you. Whether it's a push-button Nokia or a smartphone with a broken screen. This will save you work, and thereby also save the planet, which will not be burdened with unnecessary electrical waste. However, Apple also buys back its own devices, whether it's iPhones, iPads, Macs or even the Apple Watch, and offers you the appropriate financial value for them.

Perfect marketing

Therefore, Apple can attract new customers of competing brands within one service, and at the same time wrap it up in doing good for our planet. The company is known for its obsession with ecology, but is it wrong? It's definitely not, and thanks to similar services, it simply looks like the good one and the one that goes out of its way to meet its customers, even if they don't use its products yet. You save money and Apple has another sheep in its flock, so it's a perfect win-win. Now it would just like to expand this service more around the world, including in the Czech basin.
