Immediately after the presentation of the new iPhones, Apple released the last, 'almost-sharp' build of iOS 7 (the so-called Golden Master) to registered developers on the developer portal developer.apple.com. You can download it on the portal, but not yet on devices with the previous beta version 6 (at the time of writing the article). Along with iOS 7 GM, Apple released the GM version of the Xcode 5 Developer Preview development environment.
In connection with the transition to 64-bit architecture in the new iPhone 5S, Apple has also prepared a '64-Bit Transition Guide for Cocoa Touch' for developers - which should make this big step easier for developers forward. Although this change may seem uninteresting, the opposite is true - personal computers began this transition barely a decade ago, and to this day some operating systems struggle with the incompatibility of 64 and 32-Bit versions. So we will hope that Apple has prepared everything for the iOS ecosystem better.
The public release of iOS 7 will be released on September 18.
Then nothing, the system is up to date
There will be no OTA
So beta 6 when?
I'm guessing that because of 64-bit, it won't be a classic upgrade, but only a reinstallation.
Good thought - I didn't think of that, then it seems that OTA really doesn't work. On the other hand, some kind of migration might not be impossible either.
this has nothing to do with each other... 64b is only A7 in iP5S, iOS7 builds for other devices with an older processor must of course be 32b, so there is no reason why an OTA update should not take place
After all, I said that I was a snake. :-) In any case, there will be some reason for it.
I still don't know what you're talking about ;-) OTA will come normally on 18.9, when the official release is announced
I think we were talking about installing GM, not iOS 7 for normal customers. It is understandable that it will be one click in Settings.
I'm guessing that in a year there will be a 64-bit Samsung with Droid and in about four years there will be a Microsoft-Nokia.
after all, the 64-bit chip was made by Samsung, so why not.. :)
I don't know who made it, but the design is from Apple so only that they would screw it up again
So I installed GM and at first glance I don't see a difference. I'm just assuming better stability (beta 6 sometimes went into a restart) and maybe something a little smoother. But that was to be expected...
where did you get the instructions please? :)
do you think that there will still be some division between gm and ota?
Does anyone know how to terminate the application without running in the background in the new iOS7 case?
