On September 12, 2012, Apple introduced the iPhone 5 to the world, which was a revolutionary device in many ways. It was the first iPhone to ditch the old 30-pin connector and switch to Lightning, which is still with us today. It was also the first iPhone to feature a display larger than 3,5″. It was also the first iPhone introduced in September (a continuation of Apple's trend), and it was also the first iPhone to be fully developed under Tim Cook. This week, the iPhone 5 was placed on the list of old and unsupported devices.

Na this link you can view a list of products that Apple considers obsolete and do not offer any form of official support. Apple has a two-tier system for this product retirement. In the first stage, the product is marked as "Vintage". In practice, this means that this product is no longer officially sold, but a five-year period has begun during which Apple has the opportunity to offer post-warranty service repairs and spare parts. After five years from the end of sales, the product becomes "Obsolete", i.e. obsolete.

In this case, Apple has ended any form of official support and is no longer able to service such an old device, as the company has no obligation to keep spare parts. Once a product becomes an obsolete device, Apple won't help you much with it. As of October 30, the iPhone 5 was added to this global list, which received the last software update with the arrival of iOS 10.3.3, i.e. in July of last year. So this is the end of what many consider the best looking smartphone of all time.
