Apple is apparently working on a tool that would make it easier for people to switch from iOS to Android. It should be a tool similar to the one already Apple introduced the opposite for the transition. Application Move to iOS, which was released in September, enables easy data transfer from Android to iOS. On the contrary, the new tool should make it easier and more painless to switch from an iPhone to an Android phone.
Of course, the creation of such a tool is not exactly in Apple's interest, and it is evident that the Cupertino engineers are being pushed from the outside to develop a similar application.
Allegedly, this is due to pressure from European mobile operators, who claim that iPhone users rarely switch to another operating system, also because it is extremely difficult for them to export their data from iOS. This is said to significantly weaken the position of operators in negotiations with Apple.
British The Telegraph, who broke the news, did not disclose a release date for such a tool, and Apple declined to comment on the matter. But Tim Cook's company has reportedly concluded an agreement with European operators and is already working on a tool for migrating basic user data, such as contacts, photos and music.
[do action=”update” date=”12. 1/2016 12:50″/]Information obtained by British The Telegraph, apparently not true. Apple quickly responded to his reports of creating a tool for easier migration from iOS to Android, denying everything. "This speculation is not true. We're only focused on transitioning users from Android to iPhone, and that's going great.” he said pros BuzzFeed News Trudy Muller, Apple spokeswoman.
But that's... If so iOS on W10 and W10 on iOS - even if it's quite simple.
Nobody cares about those 10 Lumia users..
I would like to see the moron who would switch from ios to droid. I would welcome from ios to W10. The stupid lumia 640LTE is about 10x faster than my iPhone 6+
Operators? They rather beg for Apple, not the other way round :-)
obviously not :)
That sounds like absolute bullshit to me.
– no company with sound common sense will directly support the competition
– and will not voluntarily strengthen the position of those with whom they are negotiating. Resp. weaken yourself
- the fact that people rarely switch from Apple to Android is not because it is not possible, but because the users themselves do not want it (they would be crazy!)
I ask the editors to at least include an addendum with their own opinion, quoting tabloids that spew click-bait articles like this one is really below the level of this site
EU operators can stand on their heads, but I don't want such a step on Cuppertine, if they have a problem with it, let them write the applications themselves, just like Apple introduced an application for migration to iPhone from Android... not only that the claim that they do it on the opposite application is illogical and it doesn't make sense from the company's point of view, such a step would go against their company-wide strategy where the iPhone is at the center of everything - to support the escape of customers themselves would be against each other
Apart from the fact that it's not that complicated (everyone can export contacts and download photos from iCloud.com), so let Google make such an app itself, right? Apple also created an app for Android to make switching to iOS easier. The transition from iOS to Android should be handled by Google. Apple has no reasonable reason to do so.
