So far, nothing is known about the latter, but in the case of AirPods 2, several independent pieces of information have appeared in recent days, which could give hope that we will actually see them this year.

The second generation AirPods have in common with AirPower that Apple was expected to introduce them already at the spring keynote, during which the cheap 9,7″ iPad went on sale. It didn't happen, and all eyes were focused on the September conference. Not even a single word was said about AirPower or the new AirPods. So perhaps the last keynote of the year in October? Not by chance, again no mention. However, in the case of AirPods, perhaps not all days are over.
In recent days, several pieces of information appeared on the website that we should expect the long-awaited news relatively soon. Well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo first came with the claim that Apple will start selling the second generation of AirPods in the spring at the latest, but probably before the end of this year. This was followed by another message, this time appearing on the Twitter account of the Ice Universe user, who is famous for his substantiated "leaks", mainly from a competing platform.

The content of this tweet is simple - AirPods 2 will appear later this year. Another confirmation of the same information then came from the Twitter account of Mr. White, which usually specializes in Samsung cell phone information. However, he also confirmed that he is the second generation wireless headphones just "a few weeks" before the announcement. He then complemented the tweet with a photo of what should be brand new packaging for the second generation of Apple headphones. However, it is striking that the cases lack a diode on the front.

The last and probably the most reliable confirmation is an entry in the Bluetooth SIG database, where a product with the codename A2031/A2032 appeared. It is under this designation that AirPods 2 should be hidden. After all, the mentioned registration indicates that the arrival of the headphones is already around the corner.
When such information suddenly begins to appear in large numbers, it usually means that something is really going on. It is possible that Apple will try to catch the Christmas holidays. That is, exactly as the company intended with the first generation of this product. We probably all remember how it was in practice - AirPods became such a hit that the waiting time for them was even more than half a year after the start of sales.
