Apple as of November 6 updated the information, which appear when you visit the developer web section of apple.com. This happened for the first time since the release of iOS 11, and according to Apple's information (as of the already mentioned 6th of July), the iOS 11 operating system is installed on 52% of all active iOS devices. The share of iOS 10 is gradually decreasing, currently at around 38%. Older systems, which are mainly on devices with discontinued support, are on 10% of all iOS devices. What is interesting about this statistic is the fact that it diverges in a fairly fundamental way from the statistics of the company Mixpanel, which also informs about the transition to iOS 11.

All previous reports about what milestone iOS 11 has conquered were based on information from the analytics company Mixpanel, which has been working on this topic for several years. How can you convince yourself of their website, currently the new iOS version should be installed on about 66% of devices. This value therefore differs from the official one by 14%.

Once again, it is confirmed how slow the onset of iOS 11 really is. If we take Mixpanel's data as true (and so far no one has had a problem with it over the years), at this time last year iOS 10 was on more than 72% of all active iOS devices. This is a difference of roughly 6% compared to unofficial data and almost 21% compared to official data.

How iOS 11 is doing according to Mixpanel:

It seems that users are still reluctant to switch to the new system, despite several updates, including the latest major one in the form of iOS 11.1. It is also said to contain several fundamental errors that make life unpleasant for users. Whether it's bad battery life, a noticeable slowdown of the phone, non-working animations or some functions, etc. Apple is currently preparing an update called iOS 11.2, which is currently in its second beta.
