Many of us have been waiting more than two years for Tuesday, April 20, 2021. For so long, Apple's localization labels were looked at, which finally got the expected name Air Tag. Of course, there will be someone who already sells such accessories and someone who does not like such competition. Now such competition is the company Tile. Her arguments against Apple but they are perhaps quite justified, that is, at least for the company itself.

Tile on the one hand, it welcomes "fair competition" when a new competitor has appeared on the field of the given segment, with which the company can compare its products, but at the same time it is "skeptical" about the goals Apple given its history of taking advantage of its platform to unfairly limit competition. What does it mean? That Apple makes use of the system capabilities in its products that it does not provide to others.

So Tile is asking Congress to look into business practices Apple specific to the Find service lit up. But Apple made a smart move. So that no one would suspect him, he announced in advance the opening of the Find platform to third-party manufacturers. After all, it also announced the full integration of the brand's localization labels Chipolo.

Tile has similar functionality to Apple

Tile already has its own established network for tracking its accessories and variants Apple he simply likes it. It even works with more than 30 partners, including HP, Intel, Skullcandy or fitbit. Accessories marked with support "Find However, My" can only work with Find‌ and it's unlikely that Tile wants to give up its customer base and start redeveloping its accessories for that platform.

The company thus claims that Apple can do its job AirTag dominate the majority market, just because of its "first party" advantage. Even in the case of Tile products, if you have its app installed, it will allow you to find other users' lost devices. So it's practically the same functionality, but of course it's about recognizing a smaller company than Apple. Tile products also do not have ultra-broadband technology.

Tile already testified before Congress in 2020, in the case of Apple's alleged anti-competitive behavior. Now he's doing so again, along with other critics of the company, including brands Match and Spotify. For a change, they don't like the apple company's commission from the App Store, which was recently reduced for smaller businesses anyway. Of course, many larger companies don't want to pay Apple at all - they want to process their own payments directly to get the full amount requested, such as Epic Games and Fortnite.
