Apple was forced to pull the OTA update yesterday's the seventh beta version of iOS 12. This is due to a bug in the software that caused a significant decrease in the performance of iPhones and iPads. It is not yet clear when exactly the update will return to circulation.

The problem probably affected only those users who updated to iOS 12 beta 7 via OTA, i.e. via device settings. Registered developers still have the option to download the update in the form of an IPSW file from the Apple Developer Center. They can then install the update using iTunes.

According to the testers, the performance reduction comes in waves – on the locked screen, the device does not respond, and then the application starts for several seconds, but then the system processes all operations and suddenly the performance is restored. In addition, the problem does not affect all users, because, for example, in our editorial office, we did not notice any problems with the seventh beta of iOS 12.
