At the last keynote where they were introduced iPad Air a iPad mini, Apple showed a promo video in which we could see the use of the iPad in practice and how it helps some people immensely in specific jobs such as off-road racing, repairing wind farms or speed skating. It was a nice visual demonstration of how the iPad revolutionized the world of technology and ushered in a true post-PC era.
We designed iPad to be the best tool for everything you do. But we didn't even think about where you could take it with you. Here are a few stories.
However, Apple did not stop at one video, yesterday it published a brand new sub-site of Apple.com, where it immortalized these stories, in which the iPad plays a big role, as beautifully crafted articles accompanied by animations and photos. In them, you can read about the importance of an Apple tablet for a Broadway ensemble of dancers, a team of surgeons, engineers repairing wind power plants, the coach of a famous speed skater, off-road racers or winemakers.

Reminders:
For wind farm repair, I doubt the work gloves will be capacitive
At the Vietnamese market, they are happy to sell something and get money from it, not to buy an iPad
A driver in a rally: the map is useless for him, he only follows the road and is guided by the navigator... that's why he's there
Navigator: he needs to see the schedule and dictate to the driver as quickly as possible, not zoom in on the map and still hope that he or the driver won't be seen by the reflection of the sun from the shiny display
So will the blinded pilot of that rogue
The surgeon should know what he is cutting into and not look at the iPad, he is not able to operate it with gloves anyway
other cases can still be taken seriously with a squint
Thank you! I just saw through…
I describe it as a real application just for liver surgery... you can find it at the source. I also looked, but yes – the goal is to visualize hidden areas (synthetically, an image). Even so, it's terrible that he lets it go.
I don't see it with the navigator - I don't think so, but the airlines already use it as a substitute for paper. I have also seen several applications such as marine navigation... it is a relatively compact and durable device.
When I was taken to the hall and I saw Windows XP on the screen above me, I was a little confused :-)
The fact that you cannot use such modern technology does not mean that other successful people in their field cannot use it for their personal improvement. But then you're probably a successful surgeon, rally racer and seller at the Vietnamese Market, in which case I apologize and laugh at your abilities
I have 4 tablets, 3 of them from Apple and one Android for experiments.
