Apple has launched its next official channel on the YouTube platform. It bears the name Apple TV and it is a channel focused on presenting the content of the long-awaited streaming service, which will arrive in the fall and with which Apple wants to compete with Netflix and other similar services.

There are currently 55 videos on the channel. These are primarily trailers or interviews with selected creators who present their project through a short video, which will be available on the Apple TV+ platform. There are also several "behind the scenes" videos. The launch of the channel most likely occurred shortly after the introduction of the Apple TV service, or Apple TV+. Apple didn't mention the new YouTube channel anywhere, which is why the public only discovered it now. At the time of writing, the channel has less than 6 users.

Going forward, this will likely be Apple's way of highlighting up and coming projects to their streaming service. New trailers, interviews with directors, actors, etc. will appear here. The channel will also serve as support for the emerging Apple TV application, which will be available on a wide range of supported devices. Apple TV app will arrive as early as May, unlike the streaming service Apple TV+, which Apple plans to launch only in the fall.
