Apple presented a new project connecting art and augmented reality. The venue will be the company's brick-and-mortar stores around the world. Among the first stores where the project will be launched are branches in San Francisco, New York, London, Paris, Hong Kong and Tokyo. The interactive project is called [AR]T Walks, and contemporary artists from all over the world will present their works.

As part of the project, Apple Story will offer ninety-minute programs in its premises, where those interested will be able to learn the basics of creation in augmented reality with the help of the Swift Playgrounds program. Participants will be able to be inspired by objects and "absorbing sounds" from the workshop of New York artist and lecturer named Sarah Rothberg.

The [AR]T Walks program will also include augmented reality art installations that visitors to participating Apple stores can view – just download the Apple Store app, where a new feature called "[AR]T Viewer" will be available. With the help of this app, users will be able to launch musician Nick Cave's interactive work "Amass" and thus experience a "universe of positive energy".

Tim Cook also wrote about the project on his Twitter, saying that it meets "the power of augmented reality and the creativity of the mind". The project will be launched on August 10 as part of the Today at Apple program, and participation in it will be completely free. Registrations take place on the appropriate page at Apple website.
