As part of its efforts to promote programming, Apple is launching Entrepreneur Camp, a special project that aims to create new opportunities for female entrepreneurs in the field of application development.

Entrepreneur Camp will offer women professional mentoring and support. "Apple is committed to helping more women take leadership positions in the tech sector and beyond," Tim Cook said, adding that his company is proud to help advance female leadership in the developer community. For Apple, according to his words, both the work that is currently being done and what is yet to come is inspiring.

It is possible to apply for the program now, the program itself starts at the beginning of next year. The condition is that the businesses that want to participate in the program must be founded or led by a woman, and at the same time there must be one woman in the development team. At least one functional application or its prototype is also required.

The first lesson will be held in January next year. Further parts of the program will be held on a quarterly basis, with twenty companies selected for each round – except for the first, which will have half the number of participants. Teams accepted into the program can send three of their employees to Apple's Cupertino headquarters. During the two-week program, the person in question will receive lessons and assistance from engineers from the apple company, in the areas of design, technology and marketing of the App Store.

Participating teams will also receive two tickets each to the next WWDC and a free one-year membership to the developer program.
