Earth Day is celebrated around the world on April 22 every year. It is certainly no coincidence that just a few days ago Apple issued a report on environmental responsibility a bought vast forests in the USA. Tim Cook drew attention to these events today by tweet, in which he says, "This Earth Day, like every other day, we are committed to leaving the world better than we found it."

In connection with this, as last year, a special celebration is held in Cupertino and, as for many years, in Apple Stores around the world, the color of the apple leaf in the windows has changed from the classic white to green. The only other occasion on which the color of the note changes is on World AIDS Day.

Store employees are also changing color – today they changed their blue t-shirts and name tags to their green equivalents.

The final way Apple is highlighting Earth Day is by creating an "Earth Day 2015" collection on iTunes. It brings together many types of content, from books and magazines to podcasts, movies and TV series to apps. All of them either have a direct environmental theme or contribute to environmental conservation in some way, for example by eliminating the need for printed documents. The description of this collection says:

Our commitment to the environment starts from the ground up. We strive to improve many things and create not only the best products in the world, but also the best products for the world. Find out how you can improve the world around you with our Earth Day collections.
