Apple is United Airlines' most important customer at San Francisco International Airport. The airlines published the information today on their Twitter account.
According to United Airlines, Apple spends $150 million on airline tickets every year, paying for fifty business class seats on flights to Shanghai every day. Such a large volume of flights to the destination Shanghai Pudong Airport makes sense - a significant number of Apple's suppliers are located in China and the company sends its employees to the country daily.
Apple spends $35 million annually on flights from San Francisco to Shanghai, which is the most booked flight with United Airlines. Hong Kong was the second most popular destination, followed by Taipei, London, South Korea, Singapore, Munich, Tokyo, Beijing and Israel. Due to the company's headquarters in Cupertino, California, San Francisco Airport is the closest convenient airport for international flights.
Curious who they are @United largest global corporate accounts? @Apple is in the top spot and contributes very much to the success of SFO international flying especially the Shanghai service #UnitedAirlines #United # Apple #SFO #PVG #Shanghai #China pic.twitter.com/HNvIrz8wDg

Apple employs more than 130 workers at its branches. The statistics shown are for San Francisco International Airport only. Employees of other campuses understandably also fly from other international airports, such as the one in San Jose. So the mentioned $150 million is actually only a fraction of all the funds that Apple spends on travel. Facebook and Google are also customers of United Airlines, but their annual spending in this direction is around 34 million dollars.
change the title. as you write below in the article, apple orders 50 seats and not individual flights. but for those extra few clicks it's probably worth it.
Americans can't make a phone? :-D:-D
Will he also charge us interest?
If they were flying in economy, the iPhone would be 2000 CZK cheaper. If they were sitting at home, it would be 5000 CZK cheaper... :)
if they sat at home, it would be 3 times as expensive
I don't see why it should be cheaper if someone buys it. Art is expensive to sell, anyone can sell it cheap.
American gluttony and bloat, a country that devastates the entire planet, they probably don't produce anything at home anymore, they have slaves in the PRC and other countries for that, but they flaunt their unique technologies - produce for a handful of rice and sell for hundreds or thousands of USD
