This week we informed you that Apple is launching another year of its popular Shot on iPhone campaign. In addition to the fact that he published several videos as part of the campaign, there was one more important news that will be appreciated especially by those who want to participate in the photo challenge.

Apple, which recently as part of the Shot on iPhone campaign presented a young football player from American Samoa, released three more videos in this context. Their unifying theme is the Chinese New Year celebrations.

In the six-minute film called The Bucket, it tells the story of a mother, a son, and an inconspicuous bucket that travels with the son from the mountains down to the city. What's in the heavy bucket? Watch a video of Jia Zhangke's director's workshop shot on an iPhone XS. IN another one of the videos the director zooms in on the Depth Control function, v the last frame then shows the Slo-Mo mode options.

Award for winning images

In connection with the Shot on iPhone campaign, one more interesting novelty has appeared, which will be especially attractive to the participants of the competition. Call consists of capturing interesting photos on the iPhone and sharing them publicly on social networks with the hashtag #ShotoniPhone. An expert jury will then select the ten best photos, which will get their space on billboards and in Apple's advertising campaigns.

But Apple soon had to face criticism regarding the fact that in a way it uses the participants of the competition in order to obtain free quality material for its marketing campaigns, for which it would otherwise have to pay considerable sums. In response to this criticism, Apple announced that each of the winning photos would be awarded an amount of $10.
