In iOS 8, Apple has already prepared for upcoming changes within the European Union, in which roaming charges will be abolished by the end of 2015 at the latest and calls, texts and surfing will be made at normal domestic rates. In the new version of the operating system, Apple will offer a button to turn on data roaming only within the countries of the European Union, in others it will be able to remain inactive.

A new button appeared in the last one beta version, which Apple provided to developers. The cancellation of roaming within the European Union was approved by the Committee for Industry, Research and Energy of the European Parliament in March of this year, and was subsequently consecrated by the members of the European Parliament. Roaming will disappear from all 28 member countries by the end of 2015.

Apple is also ready for this moment, which will offer European users the option to keep their data on even when traveling abroad, as long as it is within the European Union. The second button can still deactivate the data if you go beyond the limits of the twenty-eighth. Currently, the setting works somewhat confusingly and pointlessly, as you cannot activate only "EU Internet" without data roaming, but it can be expected that Apple will change this in the final version of iOS 8.
