Perhaps you remember the tweet of Andrej Babiš, who met Time Cook in Davos six months ago. At the time, Babiš promised that we would see an Apple Store in the Czech Republic, or rather in Prague.

However, time flies like water Traditionally, many politicians' promises have not been fulfilled. The Apple Store isn't standing and it's actually not at all certain how far along the negotiations are. The Forbes server has obtained rather exclusive information related to the whole matter.

In a comprehensive article, we learn, among other things, that Minister Havlíček continues to negotiate with Apple's European branch and management in the United States. However, Forbes draws attention to the discrepancy between the perceived tourist attractiveness of Prague and the actual metrics that Apple cares about.

While Prague is undoubtedly one of the most attractive tourist destinations in the Czech Republic, it is not as important a figure as the purchasing power of the population or strategic location. In addition, we already have two Apple Stories available in the neighborhood.

For residents of Prague and the Czech Republic, the Apple Store in Dresden is relatively accessible, while for Moravia and Silesia, the new Apple Store in Vienna is theoretically within driving distance. Forbes points out that if Apple plans to expand to the central and eastern part of our region, Poland, specifically Warsaw, has a much better chance.

Another Apple Story in Europe is unlikely anytime soon

In addition, Europe is a stagnant region in terms of sales. The American market brings stable high revenues. China is also very interesting, which, although it is a very competitive market, is constantly growing.

Nevertheless, Apple will be more involved in Prague. The company has newly leased 5 square meters in the emerging Flow Building on the corner of Wenceslas Square and Opletalova Street. The 000 billion building also attracts other big players, such as Ireland's Primark, focused on affordable fashion.

Apple could thus move the entire development team, which is constantly growing, to the new building. In addition, functions such as Touch ID or Face ID passed under his hands, which fundamentally affect the use of our devices.

The company is obviously satisfied with the graduates of Czech technical schools, but also with the favorable setting of the ratio of work performed and salary evaluation. In theory, the regional branch, which is now based in Budapest, could also move to Prague. The location there is no longer very satisfactory and moving under one roof could make sense.
