You can love iTunes or hate it, but you have to admit that it has completely changed the music industry. And it will be ten years already. On April 28, 2003, Steve Jobs unveiled a new digital music store where each song cost exactly 99 cents. The third generation iPod was launched side by side with iTunes. Since then, iTunes is heading towards the goal of 25 billion downloaded songs, becoming the largest music seller in the world. Apple prepared to commemorate the round anniversary timeline, which marks milestones in iTunes history, including album and song charts for each year. You will also find important events here, such as the introduction of the iPhone or iPad.

Rather than the music content itself, many will be interested in how iTunes transformed over time from a music store into a "digital hub" - podcasts were added in 2005, movies a year later, and iTunes U in 2007. The first 500 applications in 2008 officially opened App Store. Today, the iPod itself hides in the shadow of the iPhone-iPad duo, which entices users with the possibility of downloading hundreds of thousands of applications. As of today, the counter of purchased apps shows a number of 40 billion. iTunes contains 35 million songs for 119 countries, 60 movies available in 000 countries, 109 million books and more than 1,7 iOS apps. 850 apps are downloaded every second and 000 million apps are downloaded every day. In the second quarter of 800 alone, iTunes earned $70 billion.
