It was not so long ago that it was practically unthinkable for Apple to be officially active on a social network, unless we count the interest accounts of iTunes or the App Store. However, some time ago, the Californian company started tweeting and has now also launched a campaign on Instagram.

“Welcome to @apple. Tag #ShotoniPhone, if you want to join,” it reads at Apple profile on Instagram, where there is currently a campaign for photos taken with an iPhone. Apple has been leading the way here in various forms for several years, and now it's also making its way onto the popular social network.

Apple always tags the author of each photo and adds a short description, which is now also included as spoken text with the photo itself. It will be interesting to see how the iPhone maker uses Instagram in the future.
