Analysts and other experts agree that iPhones with 5G connectivity should see the light of day next year. According to the company Strategy Analytics in addition, Apple has a high chance of becoming the world leader in terms of sales of smartphones equipped in this way, despite the fact that it is far from being the first manufacturer to launch 5G smartphones.

According to Strategy Analytics director Ken Hyers, at first glance it may seem that Apple's hesitance in this direction allows competitors such as Samsung or Huawei to take over the 5G smartphone market. But the opposite is true, and with the release of three new smartphones with 5G connectivity next year, Apple will not only catch up with the competition, but also has the potential to gain a dominant position in the market.

According to a Strategy Analytics report, Samsung is currently the undisputed leader in the 5G smartphone market. Apple and Huawei should come out with 5G models of their smartphones next year, while the Cupertino giant has a very high chance of dethroning Samsung from its current throne, according to Strategy Analytics. However, this could only be a temporary situation, because unlike Apple, Samsung can expand 5G technology even among smartphones in the lower price category.

According to analyst reports, Apple should equip all of its smartphones with 5G connectivity next year. The new iPhones should most likely be equipped with modems from Qualcomm, but Apple is also reportedly making significant efforts to develop its own modems.
