Apple is going to slim down the expected iPad

The development of (not only) apple products is constantly moving forward, which of course is also reflected in their appearance. For example, two fundamental changes from last year are worth mentioning. First, the iPad Air saw a change, which, following the model of the more advanced Pro model, switched to a square design. The same was the case with the iPhone 12. Years later, they returned to the square design that we know from the iPhone 4 and 5. According to the latest information from Mac Otakar, Apple is preparing for a design change in the case of the basic iPad as well.

This apple tablet should be slimmed down and should generally come closer to the form of the iPad Air from 2019. The display size should remain the same, i.e. 10,2″. But the change will occur in the thickness. Last year's iPad boasted a thickness of 7,5 mm, while the expected model should only offer 6,3 mm. At the same time, the weight is expected to be reduced from 490g to 460g. Perhaps now you can wonder if the Cupertino company will finally go USB-C like last year's "Air." Unfortunately, the tablet should continue to use only Lightning and likewise Touch ID .

MacBook Air with Mini-LED display will arrive in 2022

For several months now, there has been a lot of talk about the arrival of Apple products with a Mini-LED display. This information was previously confirmed by the world-renowned analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, whose predictions usually come true sooner or later. In this case, the most suitable candidate is an iPad Pro or a MacBook Pro. We should expect these products with the mentioned technology later this year, when laptops are expected to offer a certain redesign at the same time. At the same time, we are talking about a 13″ model, which, following the example of the 16″ version, could be “transformed” into a product with a 14″ screen. According to the DigiTimes magazine, which draws information directly from companies in the supply chain, we will also see a MacBook Air with a Mini-LED display next year.

Apple Watch may display incorrect altitude information during bad weather

During yesterday the server iphone-ticker.de came out with a very interesting report that deals with the latest Apple watches - i.e. Apple Watch Series 6 and Apple Watch SE. According to their information, the watch provides its user with incorrect information about the current altitude during bad weather. What could be behind this problem is unclear for now.

These two latest models boast a new generation of always-on altimeter, which can provide real-time information at any time. In addition, Apple itself said that thanks to this update and the combination of data from GPS and WiFi, the altimeter can record even the smallest changes in altitude, with a tolerance of one foot, that is, less than 30,5 centimeters. However, only users in Germany complain about the mentioned problem, despite the fact that everything worked without a single problem in the past.

Calibration seems to be the main culprit of the whole situation. When the outside pressure changes, it is also necessary to recalibrate the Apple Watch, which the user does not have access to. Have you encountered a similar problem in recent weeks, or is your Apple Watch working without the slightest problem?
