Apple has released a new version of its Remote app and finally dressed this wireless controller in the style of iOS 7. At the moment, the only thing missing is basically an app update iBooks, iTunes U a Find My Friends. So let's hope they are working hard on these apps in Cupertino as well. Remote in version 4.0 comes with a completely redesigned user interface, which corresponds to the changes in the concept of iOS and thus completely fits into the overall concept of the new system. The update also brings iTunes 11 support.
The new Remote has been designed to work perfectly with the new version of iTunes. It is easier and thanks to the function Next provides the ability to browse upcoming tracks. With just a few taps on the iPad, iPhone or iPod touch screen, add more songs to the queue to listen to on your Mac, PC or Apple TV. With the Remote, you can browse and launch playlists, songs and albums just as if you were sitting in front of your computer or Apple TV.
You can also use iCloud to play music from iTunes Match. Switch songs, select playlists or browse your entire media library from anywhere in your home. Control your Apple TV with simple finger movements or use the keyboard of your iOS device instead of the difficult choice of the correct letters on the TV set.
Hurrah! My iPad didn't want to rotate when I typed something on the Apple TV...
I'm still waiting for the Keynote remote, which hasn't been updated even for the iPhone 5 ... but it has great potential !!
And now iBooks. :)
I don't understand this, why isn't anyone testing this? And I don't mind that it's impossible to tell if I pressed shuffle or not...oh yeah
I wonder when iTunes will finally stop reporting an error on WinXP. I update my phone, update itunes and still can't connect. It's been taking quite long enough for my taste. How can such a giant make a mistake that cuts off millions of people without fixing it in a few days???? It's already starting to get me pretty s..t !!! :o((( What next Apple ???????
iTunes will stop reporting an error on XP when you upgrade to WIN7 or 8, or MAC ;))) Apple let us know that support for XP will no longer exist. Which is logical…
Well, there is not much logic in it, rather, Apple, from a position of power, behaves superiorly towards phone users, and you either adapt or go "a house further". Sorry, but I already experienced that 30 years ago for a camera and I don't want to be manipulated by anyone ever again. Do you think everyone will be willing to upgrade everything or buy a Mac? It seems quite unsound to me :o(
Holy shit, you're running a 12 year old version of the OS. In April 2014, it will also cease to exist for the World Cup.
By the way, XP with SP2 is a supported OS for iTunes, and iTunes on your PC will stop reporting the error that it can't connect to the iTunes store when you set up your comp properly. Your communication is probably blocked by a firewall or some anti-virus.
