In recent months, more and more complaints have appeared on the web about how Apple currently approaches the development of its operating systems. The company tries to come up with a big update every year so that users have enough news and the system does not feel stagnant - both in the case of macOS and in the case of iOS. However, this annual regime takes its toll in that new versions of operating systems are increasingly buggy, suffer from major ailments and frustrate users. That should change this year.

Interesting information appeared on foreign websites that they cite Axios portal. According to him, a meeting was held at the software planning level of the iOS division in January, during which Apple employees were told that a large part of the news is being moved to next year, as they will focus primarily on fixing the current version this year. Craig Federighi, who is in charge of the entire software division at Apple, is said to be behind this plan.

The report only talks about the mobile operating system iOS, it is not known how it is with macOS. Thanks to this change in strategy, the arrival of some long-awaited features is being postponed. It was said that in iOS 12 there will be a change of the home screen, a complete overhaul and modernization of the default system applications, such as the mail client, Photos or applications for use in CarPlay cars. These big changes have been moved to next year, this year we will see only a limited amount of news.

The main goal of this year's iOS version will be optimization, bug fixes and overall focus on the quality of the operating system as such (for example, on a consistent UI). Since the arrival of iOS 11, it has not been in a state in which it would satisfy all its users. The goal of this effort will be to make the iPhone (and iPad) a little faster again, to eliminate some shortcomings at the level of the operating system or to prevent problems that may arise when using iOS devices. We will get information about iOS 12 at this year's WWDC conference, which will (most likely) take place in June.
