Apple has just revealed the official numbers from Friday's pre-sale of the new iPhone 6 and 6 Plus - selling over four million of the new phones in 24 hours. That's a record number for the first day of pre-orders, and it's only the first wave that has ten countries.
Apple has admitted that interest in pre-ordering new iPhones has exceeded ready stocks, so even though many customers will receive new Apple phones this Friday, others will have to wait at least until October. Apple will release additional stocked units for the start of sales in brick-and-mortar Apple Stores on Friday.
[do action=”quote”]We are thrilled that customers love the new iPhones as much as we do.[/do]
To compare with previous models, the iPhone 5 two years ago it scored two million in pre-orders in the first 24 hours, the iPhone 4S a year before half that number. Last year, there were no pre-orders for the iPhone 5S, but in the first weekend, Apple together with the iPhone 5C sold nine million.
"iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are better in every way, and we're thrilled that customers love them as much as we do," Apple CEO Tim Cook said of the record-breaking launch.
From September 26, the new, larger iPhones will go on sale in another 20 countries, unfortunately the Czech Republic is not among them. iPhone 6 and 6 Plus should reach our market during October, but this information has not been officially confirmed yet.

I'm happy :) Tow truck
Well deserved success :-)
I personally do not like the new sixes at all. At the moment I see the phone in it like any other.. unfortunately. I myself have a five and I am completely satisfied. Both with functionality and, above all, with design! A big shame and disappointment for me. Similar opinions are heard from those close to me, but we'll see how it will affect the total numbers in the end:-)
Nohow
I am of the same opinion. I have a 4S, but I'm considering buying a 5S. The design of the 6 does not please my eye. However, I will only see when I put a load on it in reality. I might change my mind about the rounded edges.
I absolutely agree…. I have a 5S and was thinking of getting rid of it and buying a 6, but after it was introduced I dismissed that option. It is true that they have returned to the original versions in appearance, but those round shapes remind me a lot of Samsung, LG and similar machines... It's just that the four and five series have their own unique design...
But everything is just a matter of personal opinion and taste….. And this is my opinion….
It's good that the 4S - 5S design fits you, but you know what's fun, look up the comments on the releases of those phones back then. As the discussions were full of dismay as it looks like it's no longer an iPhone. I don't remember any keynote that was not followed by disappointment and rejection of the new iPhone/iPad. Which then changes when people get their hands on it and start using it.
I don't see anything so funny about it. It's understandable that someone didn't like the 5, doesn't like sharp edges, etc. But it's probably hard to generalize. Personally, I didn't have it because I didn't need it, and I liked how they solved the enlarged display. I don't like 6 ka, even to the point that it's repulsive to me, and I certainly don't intend to change my opinion, because I simply wouldn't be able to buy it.
Well, it can be understood from the statement of Cook that they want to drag the androidists. On the one hand, it's good for the company, but we, who liked beautiful design, were blindsided.
I like it :) I kept waiting for the rounded edges to come again and it finally came!
