The well-known frontman of the music band U2 Bono announced that in cooperation with Apple he earned 65 million dollars (1,2 billion crowns) for his charity brand (Product) RED, which helps Africans with AIDS. Bono has been working with the Californian company since 2006…

It was in 2006 that Apple introduced the first "red" product - a special edition iPod nano labeled (Product) RED. It was later followed by other iPod nanos, iPod shuffles, Smart Covers for iPads, a rubber bumper for iPhone 4 and now also a new case for iPhone 5s.

From every "red" product sold, Apple donates a certain amount to Bono's charity project. He only lends his brand to selected companies, which then create a product with the (Product) RED logo, just like Apple. These are, for example, Nike, Starbucks or Beats Electronics (Beats by Dr. Dre).

In total, (Product) RED should have earned over 200 million dollars, to which Apple contributed significantly. In addition, the cooperation with the iPhone manufacturer is a little closer. It was recently revealed that with Bono at a special charity auction Apple's chief designer Jony Ive also cooperates. For this occasion, he prepared, for example, golden headphones.
