Apple has prepared an unpleasant gift for iPhone users for the New Year. The set alarms did not ring, again. iOS somehow didn't handle the transition to the new year, and alarms set for January 3st didn't go off unless they were set to snooze. Apple acknowledged the problem and revealed that everything will be fixed on January XNUMXrd.

News of this problem began to emerge gradually as 2011 rolled into more and more countries. According to this information, the error was on devices that had iOS 4.2.1 installed, i.e. the latest version of the operating system.

Apple has now confirmed that the bug will fix itself on January 3rd, until then it recommended using a snooze alarm that works. "We are aware of the issue, the one-time alarms set for January 1st and 2nd are not working," she said for Macworld Apple spokeswoman Natalie Harrison. "Users can set a recurring alarm for these days, then everything will work again from January 3rd."

At the same time, this is not Apple's first problem with alarm clocks. iPhones rang sooner or later already when switching to winter time. Everyone now hopes that the unpleasant matter will not happen again.
