Apple released last week new updates for all your operating systems. In the case of iOS, it is a version labeled 11.2.3. Now, a week after its release, Apple has discontinued all previous versions of iOS 11 to sign and users do not have the possibility to return to them through official means.

Apple today ended official support for iOS 11.2, iOS 11.2.1, and iOS 11.2.2. These versions will no longer be installable. With this move, Apple is trying to force users to update their devices to the latest version of the operating system. The second reason for this step is to prevent jailbreak, which is usually prepared for older versions of the software. A few weeks ago, there was information that a jailbreak for version 11.2.1 was planned.

The current version, 11.2.5, has brought some minor news, primarily for those who will be unboxing the new HomePod wireless speaker next week. A much more interesting update will arrive sometime in the spring, in the form of iOS 11.3. It should bring both classic improvements and new Animoji, iMessage on iCloud, AirPlay 2 and much more.

This update will also include a tool to turn off a feature that causes your iPhone to slow down based on reduced battery life. It should reach users for the first time sometime in the coming weeks, as part of iOS 11.3 beta testing between developers and public testers.
