However, if you fear that the phone is therefore of lower quality or less technologically advanced, it is important not to forget the fact that all iPhones up until today have had an LCD display.
The cheapest of the new iPhones comes in six different colors, including black, white, red (product red), yellow, orange and blue. The phone is then available in three different capacities, namely 64GB, 128GB and 256GB. The iPhone XR offers an aluminum body with a glass back that enables wireless charging, which the new product is equipped with. Also new this year, Apple did not launch any phone with Touch ID, and even the cheapest iPhone XR offers Face ID.

However, there is no need to condemn this because, apart from the iPhone X, LCD technology has been used by all Apple smartphones introduced so far. In addition, Apple uses a liquid Retina display, which is the most advanced LCD display ever used in an iOS device. The display offers 1.4 million pixels and a resolution of 1792 x 828 pixels. The phone will also offer a so-called edge-to-edge display with 120Hz, True Tone, Wide Gamut and Tap to Wake function.
With the removal of the Home button and the arrival of Face ID, this model can also "boast" a cutout in the upper part of the screen, which hides the technology that takes care of facial recognition. Face ID is the same as in the case of the iPhone X. It goes without saying that wireless charging is also available, which all current iPhone models have. Inside the iPhone XR we find the Apple A12 Bionic processor, the same type as the latest iPhone Xs and Xs Max. Control is the same as the iPhone X, with the fact that it has Haptic touch, but no 3D touch.
Another major difference compared to its more expensive siblings is that the camera is equipped with only one lens. It has a resolution of 12 Mpixels and does not lack True Tone flash and stabilization. It also offers a wide angle, f/1.8 aperture. The novelty is a lens composed of six elements. We also find the Bokeh function here, which allows you to control the depth of field just like the iPhone Xs and Xs Max, but here this function is only done using calculations. In the case of more expensive models, this function is done using a dual lens. The novelty will also offer depth control, thanks to which we learn that it does not require a dual camera, as Apple previously claimed.
Battery life is an hour and a half better than the iPhone 8 Plus. The phone also offers a Smart HDR function, just like its more expensive siblings. Face ID camera with Full HD resolution and 60 frames per second.
Availability and prices
The Apple iPhone XR should offer the most interesting price of all three new products. Although it won't be at the level of the iPhone SE or the earlier iPhone 5C, Apple still sees it as the cheapest of all this year's models and offers it in three capacity variants. As for the colors, your favorite color will not affect the price in any way. What will affect it, however, are precisely the capacities. The base variant of the iPhone XR with 64GB of memory will cost $749, which is less than the price of the iPhone 8 Plus when it was introduced last year. Pre-orders start already on October 19, and the first customers will receive their piece a week later. Tim Cook said that the iPhone Xr is an opportunity for Apple to bring the most advanced smartphone technology to more people.
