Speculations were confirmed, and Apple presented a new version of the professional video editing program Final Cut Pro in Las Vegas on the occasion of the NAB event. The X-branded version should be as revolutionary as the very first version of the app from 1999, with Apple saying that all the leading filmmakers rely on FCP for their work.

Final Cut Pro X will arrive in the Mac App Store in June, it will cost $299, and for now it is not known what will happen to the versions of Final Cut Studio and Express, they were not mentioned during the presentation.

As for Final Cut Pro X, the application has been completely rewritten and is fully 64-bit. Apple practically presents the new FCP as a new product, the interface is somewhat similar to iMovie, although of course it offers a much larger range of functions compared to its simpler brother.

Final Cut Pro X is based on technologies such as Cocoa, Core Animation or Open CL and mainly supports Grand Central Dispatch, a technology that will allow you to use all the cores of your computer. Professional users will certainly be pleased with the support for high 4K resolution, the possibility of video editing during import or scalable rendering is also worth mentioning.
