It's been a few minutes since we saw the introduction of the brand new M1 processor, which is the first processor from the Apple Silicon family. The Apple company decided to install this processor in addition to the MacBook Air also in the Mac mini and in the 13″ MacBook Pro. This means that a new generation is here, I dare say the Mac mini era - let's take a look at it together.

As I mentioned above, the new Mac mini has an M1 processor. To give you an overview, the M1 processor offers a total of 8 CPU cores, 8 GPU cores and 16 Neural Engine cores. The Mac mini is loved by users for several different reasons - but most of all, its compactness. This apple computer has always offered an incredible amount of performance in a miniature body - and with the M1 processor we have moved to the next level. Compared to the older quad-core Mac mini, the new one with the M1 processor offers up to three times the performance. You can really use it anywhere - at home, in the office, in the studio, at school and anywhere else.

As for the graphics performance, we can look forward to six times the performance compared to the previous generation. At the same time, the Mac mini is up to 5 times faster than the best-selling competing desktop computer in the same price category. But it doesn't stop at performance, as the Mac mini also offers a tenth of the size in comparison. ML (machine learning) performance is up to 15x higher on the new generation Mac mini. The great news is that the new Mac mini does not have a cooling fan, so it is completely silent when working. As for connectivity, users can look forward to Ethernet, Thunderbolt and USB 4, HDMI 2.0, classic USB and a 3.5mm jack. The price starts at 699 dollars, you can configure up to 16 GB RAM and 2 TB SSD.
