She first reported the date of this year's Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) of Apple just Siri, then Apple confirmed her words officially. In addition, today it launched a redesigned "App Store" section within its developer site.

WWDC will be held from June 13 to 17, in San Francisco of course. But this year, the traditional opening presentation will be in a different building, in the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, where the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus were introduced last September. But similar to previous years, it won't be easy to get to WWDC this time either.

Tickets, which are available to developers with a developer account created before the announcement of this year's conference, cost $1 (approx. 599 crowns) and there will be a raffle for the chance to buy them at all. Developers can enter the draw rank here, no later than Friday, April 22, 10:00 a.m. Pacific time (19:00 p.m. in the Czech Republic). Apple, on the other hand, will provide this year as well free admission at the conference to 350 students and 125 of them will also contribute to travel expenses.

Developers who make it to WWDC will be able to participate in more than 150 workshops and events improving their knowledge and ability to work with all four Apple platforms. There will also be over 1 Apple employees on hand to help with any issue related to software development for their devices. Developers who can't make it to WWDC will be able to watch all the workshops online on the website even through applications.

Commenting on the conference, Phil Schiller said, “WWDC 2016 will be a milestone for developers coding in Swift and creating apps and products for iOS, OS X, watchOS and tvOS. We can't wait for everyone to join us – in San Francisco or via live stream.”

Apple also launched a new version of the "App Store" section of its website for developers today. Its headline reads: “Creating great apps for the App Store,” followed by the text: “The App Store makes it easy for users around the world to discover, download, and enjoy our apps. Grow your business with tools designed to help you build great apps and reach more users.”

The new parts of this section deal primarily with ways to make your applications in the App Store as easy as possible to discover, how to effectively use the freemium model (a free application with the option of paid content) and how to revive user interest with updates. These tips are communicated through texts, videos and quotes from developers behind successful apps.

Subsection "Discovery on the App Store” describes, for example, how applications are selected by the editors for display on the main page of the App Store and what characteristics are typical of the applications that appeared there. Developers can also propose their apps to appear on the App Store main page by filling out a form.

The subsection "User Acquisition Marketing with App Analytics". It provides analyzes of many aspects associated with the life of the application that can affect its success. Such analytics will help developers find the most effective business model and marketing strategy using data about where users most often learn about apps, what is most likely to prompt them to download and reuse the app, etc.
