Apple has started deploying new price tags in the Czech App Store. Due to changes in exchange rates, all applications are now several tens of euros more expensive. The changes affect all countries that have an App Store in euros, and the new prices should appear for all apps by the end of the week.

The Californian firm told developers that due to the movement of exchange rates, it has to increase the prices of applications and purchases in them, the change does not only apply to automatically renewing subscriptions.

The cheapest apps (which are not free) will cost more than 1 euro for the first time. The new price levels in the Czech and Slovak App Store look as follows (you can find a complete overview <a href="https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1932/8043/files/200721_ODSTOUPENI_BEZ_UDANI_DUVODU__EN.pdf?v=1595428404" data-gt-href-en="https://en.notsofunnyany.com/">here</a>):

At the current exchange rate, a Czech customer can buy the cheapest app, so-called "per euro", for less than 30 crowns. This is an increase of approximately 3 crowns. In recent years, however, the cheapest rate has already risen by 38%, when it started at 0,79 euros and then rose to 0,99 euros. A slightly higher price increase in the order of higher units of crowns comes for other rates.

Until now, Apple used prices of €1,99, €2,99, €3,99, etc. in the App Store, but now we will pay €2,29, €3, €49, etc., which means about 4,49 up to 8 crowns higher price for one application.
