SOCIETY chipworks she came up with a detailed analysis Apple Pencil, which showed that despite its simple exterior design, this product is a technological masterpiece above all inside.

"It's incredible for something this small," introduced analysts from chipworks. They discovered that up to 15 semiconductors per gram of the entire device, which boasts a length of 176 millimeters and a depth of 9 millimeters, are hidden inside.

Their analysis also showed that there are two main manufacturers in terms of the number of parts inside the Apple Pencil – Texas Instruments and STMicroelectronics. Among others, there are also chips from Maxim Integrated Products, Cambridge Silicon Radio, SiTime, Bosch and Fairchild. Of course, there is also a part from Apple itself, but after disassembling this part, it was found that it is an integrated circuit designed and created by the already mentioned STMicroelectronics.

Od chipworks we can expect a lot more of that over the coming weeks, especially in the area of understanding how the stylus and iPad Pro work when used in tandem. As is known, the Pencil only works with the new iPad Pro, as other iPad models do not have the technology necessary to use this creative accessory.

Earlier company breakdowns iFixit among other things as well they showed, that the Apple Pencil houses the smallest logic board that is split in half to accurately handle both writing and drawing functions. Analysts from iFixit they added that they had not seen a smaller logic board yet.

The product's plastic packaging also failed to withstand the onslaught of various dissections, and it turned out to be hiding a small, tube-shaped lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 0,329 watt-hours. This is the main reason why the Apple Pencil can fully function for around 12 hours. It is also interesting to know that every 15 seconds of charging turns into 30 minutes of full use.

An analyst from KGI Securities Ming-Chi Kuo, who said that the complexity of the design of this accessory caused some difficulties during the assembly itself. Therefore, at the start of sales of the iPad Pro she couldn't buy a special pencil at all.

The Apple Pencil is a new creative addition to the iPad Pro, and it's more than obvious that it has found (or rather is finding) its group of users. You can order it from the official Apple online store for less than 3 thousand crowns, but still with delivery within 4-5 weeks.
