Already at the beginning of this month, Apple announced that its mobile payment service Apple Pay will expand to three more countries around the world. Unfortunately, the Czech Republic did not make the list, but our neighbor Poland, along with Norway and Ukraine, did. It was the arrival of Apple Pay in Ukraine that surprised a large part of Czech fans and seemed more like a kind of paradox. However, the fact becomes the truth, and starting today, Apple users from Ukraine can start using the Apple payment service.
Starting this morning, Ukrainians can add their MasterCard or Visa debit and credit cards to the Wallet app on iPhone. Apple Pay is currently only supported by the national bank PrivatBank, however Oschadbank should follow soon, as Ukrainian Finance Minister Oleksandr Danyliuk stated in his Facebook post.
Apple Pay has expanded greatly over the past few years and is now available in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Singapore, Switzerland, Hong Kong, France, Russia, China, Japan, New Zealand, Spain, Taiwan, Ireland , Italy, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, United Arab Emirates, Ukraine and Brazil. There is currently only speculation about entering the domestic market, but the latest information suggests that we could expect the service this year.
Hooray
Tatra banka in Slovakia will launch Apple Pay by the end of this month. Otherwise, I think that in the Czech Republic it will also be about to fall. :-)
Hello, how did you know this? Any information would be greatly appreciated. :-)
They confirmed to me on the Tatra Bank infoline that the Apple Pay service will indeed be launched in the next few days in Slovakia
in short, they are screwing us as always, finally let's admit it...otherwise, I don't see how big a difference it is between paying with a mobile phone or paying with a sticker on the door handles...anyway, I have to get something from somewhere.
