Last year, like the previous one, was marked by the expansion of countries in which it is possible to pay with Apple Pay. There were several waves of expansion last year, and we've already had a few this year. Now, new information has emerged that Apple Pay will be launched in three more European countries, including one right next door to us. Unfortunately, there is no mention of the Czech Republic in this context, and there is no indication yet that we will also see Apple Pay this year.
The information came during a conference call with shareholders, during which Apple published economic results for the past quarter. In connection with the increasing popularity of Apple Pay, there was information that the service will be extended to Poland, Norway and Ukraine in the course of the year. Tim Cook was not specific, saying that users will see the launch 'in the next few months'. In our case, we can only watch the whole situation with a sigh. If the launch of the service in the Czech Republic were considered (or even discussed), Tim Cook would probably mention us as well. It is therefore less and less likely that we will see the implementation of Apple Pay in the Czech Republic this year.
Paying with Apple Pay is becoming more and more popular. Year-on-year, the number of payments made doubled and the volume of transactions more than tripled. The entire payment ecosystem is helped, for example, by integration into payment terminals of public mass transport in world capitals, etc.

IMHO it is that "our" banks, used to outrageous margins, have unfulfillable demands on Apple...
No problem, we still have Google pay. To this, when I add Apple's inability after so many years to give us normal maps, launch CZ/SK Siri, the implementation of Waze in Car Play and... And I could go on, I'm really strongly considering switching to a stock android. Which is actually not even logged in anymore...
If it happens in Poland, it could soon happen here too. Now I have android pay on Note 3. Account with mBank. This is a Polish bank. I assume that they would soon catch up with us as well. Otherwise, paying by mobile phone is really a blast. And since the Note 3 is really getting old and I don't have another Android selected, I'll wait for SE2 and see. I would probably miss paying by mobile the most. But elsewhere, Apple's ecosystem is unmatched. There is a bad connection on Android. If you only have a phone, then Android is probably better these days. But if you have a tablet, a watch and maybe airpods with your phone, it's a blast. Samsung also has a watch. But they run on their own Tizen. Application minimum. Companies are doing it first for apple watch, then maybe android wear and some Tizen from above. Also, the support is generally really bad. When I bought the Note 3, the bezel on android 4.4.2. I got a 5.0 in half a year. And since then nothing. Version 5.0 was not exactly successful. Everyone's stamina got worse. Version 5.0.1 solved it, but it didn't reach the Note 3. The same old iPhone 5S still has support. This is the most important nowadays. The same with watches. Buy android wear and for that you have to learn to pray and pray every night that the manufacturer of the watch will support you at least for a while.
So even for that individual phone, iOS is better, isn't it? .-)
