As announced during the WWDC conference in June, the Apple Pay service has indeed reached another European country. In addition to Great Britain, this payment method is also available in Switzerland, where it supports VISA and MasterCard credit cards. Apple announced this on its website.

Swiss users of newer iPhones (6/6 Plus, 6s/6s Plus and SE) as well as Bonus Card, Cornercard and Swiss Bankers customers can now apply for credit and prepaid cards just for Apple Pay. Using the Wallet application, they can set them up and then use them to their full potential.

So far, it can be used by eight domestic retailers (Apple Store, Aldi, Avec, C&A, k kiosk, Mobile Zone, P&B, Spar and TopCC), and others promise early integration, including the Lidl chain.

Switzerland is the second country in Europe where Apple Pay is available, albeit initially Spain was supposed to be the second country. Previously, the service only worked in the UK. As he revealed at WWDC, Apple is also going to expand Apple Pay to France.

In May, Apple he revealed, that it is working hard on a significant expansion of Apple Pay throughout Europe and Asia, but it is not yet clear when the service could arrive in the Czech Republic. For the time being, it is not even in much larger markets, such as Germany, so apparently we cannot expect it to come to us in the near future.
