Apple Pay in the Czech Republic we enjoy for more than a month. During that time the service became extremely popular and according to representatives of individual banking institutions, the interest in Apple Pay exceeded even their most optimistic prospects. It seems that Apple is not waiting to expand its payment service, and it will be launched in several other European countries, including Slovakia, in the coming weeks.

The banking institution N26 confirmed today on social networks that it is planning to launch Apple Pay in several countries, which include the already mentioned Slovakia, but also Estonia, Greece, Portugal, Romania or Slovenia. Shortly after publication, the post disappeared, but some users managed to immortalize it in the form of screenshots.

As for Slovakia, support for Apple Pay has already been confirmed in the past by Slovenská spořitelna, which plans to support the payment system sometime during the year, in an unspecified period. In addition to the countries mentioned above, Apple Pay is also heading to Austria, where both N26 and Erste Bank will take care of the implementation.

The last few months have been marked by the expansion of Apple Pay both in Europe and in other parts of the world. Apple's goal is to have its payment service available in more than 40 countries before the end of this year. At this rate it shouldn't be too much of a problem.
