When Apple Pay has problems

If you can't add a card to your Wallet for use with Apple Pay, check your Apple Pay status on the About page status of Apple systems. If there is a problem listed here, try adding the card later when the problem is fixed.

But if the service works without problems, try the following procedure to add the card to the Wallet:

  • See if you're in a country or region where Apple Pay is supported. If you do not enter the card in the Czech Republic but, for example, in a country where the service is not supported, you will not be able to add the card. You can find a list of supported countries on Apple's support pages
  • Check that the card you're adding is supported and comes from a participating issuer. You can find the list again at Apple support booths.
  • Restart both Apple Watch and iPhone, if an update to a newer version of watchOS and iOS is available, install it.
  • When you don't see the button after opening the Wallet app "+", it is possible that your device is set to the wrong region. On iPhone launch the Watch app, tap the panel My watch and then In general. choose Language and area and then Area. Just select your region here.
  • If you've tried all of the above and still can't add your card, contact your bank or card issuer or Apple Support for help.
